DOL Extending Grace Period for EFAST2 Using Login.gov

The Department of Labor’s (DOL) Employee Benefits Security Administration has announced that it will extend the grace period to obtain new Login.gov credentials for the EFAST2 filing system until December 31, 2023. EFAST2 is a web-based system designed by the DOL, Internal Revenue Service, and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation to receive and display Form 5500 series and Form PR filings. Previous guidance at the end of last year indicated that EFAST2 users would have until September 1, 2023, to transition their log-in. Login.gov provides a single sign-in solution to access many government agencies’ services with a single username and password. An FAQ provides details on the credentialing requirements.
